The 2026 "Magical by Excellence" Awards are an accolade that recognizes the performance of Mexico’s Magical Towns in the areas of tourism and environmental management.

The selection of the winners will be based 40% on public voting, which takes place online. Until April 14, the public can vote for their favorite initiatives among the nominees via the link here.

One of the towns in the running is Tequisquiapan, Querétaro, which has been nominated in three categories. Adolfo Barrón, manager of the tour operator Viajes y Enoturismo and a member of RELATUR, has requested specific support for the project» "Wine as a Pillar of Tourism Development."

The results of this competition will be announced during the 2026 Tianguis Turístico, an event to be held in Acapulco from April 27 to 30, reaffirming the competitiveness of Quintana Roo’s Pueblos Mágicos in the global market.
